Terraria Wiki → Floating Islands
Floating islands are located high in the sky and are very difficult to reach without a gravity potion. Harpies, dangerous mobs that can shoot feathers, fly around these islands. For an unprepared player, they can be difficult opponents, especially in large numbers.
Slightly above the floating islands is a small space biome. It is distinguished by a completely black, cosmic background, reduced gravity, and an increased number of harpies. Each floating island contains a house made of gold, silver, or copper, which can be dismantled for bricks. Chests on floating islands are always locked. To open them, you need a key from the Dungeon.
- Mobs: Harpy, in hard mode (after killing the Wall of Flesh) Archwyvern, Wyvern.
- Items: Feather, Wood, Sky Island Furniture, Ore.
- Valuables: Chest / Lake.
- Difficulty: Above average – difficult.
