Biomes (Jungle) | Don’t Starve

Posted on August 6, 2026 by admin

Don’t Starve Walkthrough → Biomes (Jungle)

Features: This biome primarily contains jungle trees, bamboo, vine bushes, various boulders, berry bushes, and snake/monkey/spider spawns.

Bamboo – Obtained from bamboo bushes using a machete. Used to craft cloth, bamboo rafts, nets, thatch sails, cloth sails, palm huts, mussel sticks, ice makers, harpoons, poisoned harpoons, and boar houses.

Vine – Obtained from vines using a machete. Used to craft rafts, rowboats, thatch sails, life jackets, mussel sticks, snake shirts, and smooth hats.

Primates – The biggest evil in this game. They chase the player character and steal anything they can find. They can be distracted with a “funny monkey ball.” If attacked, they throw dung, which drains sanity on impact.

Snakes – Live in bushes and trees. They deal 10 damage per hit and drop monster meat, snake skin (which can be used to craft a snake hat, shirt, or sail), and a poison gland (which can be used to craft an antidote or a poisoned spear/harpoon/dart). They sleep during the day and are active at night. A poisonous snake inflicts poisoning upon bite.
