Stalker: Call of Pripyat  → Ammo (Part 2)

The ammos are changed from regular to armor-piercing with the letter Y, and the grenade launcher mode is changed with the letter V, respectively.

The 5.45x39mm 7N10 ammo, a high-penetration bullet, is used in automatic rifles in many Warsaw Pact countries. Its reduced recoil and increased bullet range provide greater accuracy than the older 7.62mm ammo.

The 5.45×39 BP is a 5.45×39 mm 7N22 military ammo with an armor-piercing bullet used in automatic rifles of many Warsaw Pact countries. The bullet contains an armor-piercing hard alloy core. It is effective against body armor.

The 5.56×45 is a low-impulse NATO ammo of 5.56x45mm caliber, designed for aimed burst fire. Known as the SS190, it offers excellent ballistic characteristics.

5.56×45 AR – NATO 5.56x45mm ammo with enhanced penetration, known as the SS190/M855. Effective against body armor. Widely used in small arms by Western militaries and intelligence agencies.

The 9×39 SP-5 is a subsonic assault rifle ammo. The SP-5 features a bimetallic-jacketed bullet. The cavity behind the steel core is filled with lead. It requires a suppressor to ensure silent firing. It is widely used in some Warsaw Pact countries.

The 9×39 SP-6 is a subsonic assault rifle ammo. The SP-6 features a semi-jacketed bullet with a partially exposed hardened steel core. It requires a suppressor to ensure silent firing. It is common in some Warsaw Pact countries and is effective against body armor.

The 7.62×54 7N1 is a specially developed 7.62mm sniper ammo. The bullet features a steel core. Compared to the standard ammo of the same caliber, it offers improved ballistic characteristics and increased penetration.

The 7.62×54 PP is an inexpensive, standard 7.62mm ammo. Due to its design, it is not well-suited for sniper rifles and is used as ammunition for the RP-74 machine gun.
