At the end of the event, a king slime will spawn if you killed 150 slimes during the event (or 75 slimes if a king slime was previously killed).
However, if you haven’t killed the required number of regular slimes to spawn a king slime during the event, the event ends, and the message “Slime has stopped falling from the sky” appears, but the king slime does not spawn.
- The initial chance of the event starting is ≈4.9% (in Hardmode, ≈3.3%). Additional conditions:
- If the king slug has not yet been killed, the probability of the event starting is multiplied by 2;
- At least 1 character in the world has 140 health and 8 defense.
- In Expert Mode, this condition significantly reduces the chance of the event starting, rather than “disabling” it.
Notes
- During the event, all slimes become aggressive, but the Royal Gel will still make them friendly (except the Royal Slime and its minions).
- Slimes killed by lava or traps do not increase the kill count for the King Slime summon.
- It can continue simultaneously with other events, even at night.
