Arcanum Walkthrough -> Void
After a short trek, you’ll meet Arronax. He doesn’t look scary at all:
It turns out he’s been here for 2,000 years, trapped in a strange shell maintained by Kergan. He’ll ask you to free him and want to help you kill Kergan. A snake runs near Arronax’s prison—kill it; it’s the one maintaining Arronax’s shell.
Reach Kergan’s chambers and begin a heartfelt conversation. Kergan wants to free the souls of the dead. To do this, he wants to destroy the Void and Arcanum.
There are two endings to this game: help Kergan or kill Kergan. I chose the latter. Beat Kergan to the end, and when he’s in the shell, aim the Vendigroth device at him. Kergan, impaled by the device’s points, will die. You, by the way, will too, but let’s not dwell on the bad news.
A cutscene will follow, showing you what happened in Arcanum in the following years. That’s the whole game. By the way, it’s a shame the developers didn’t plan for the game to continue after Kergan’s death. So, we’ve saved Arcanum. Bye everyone!
