Part of the Capital Metro system beneath the Wasteland. Some sections of the tunnel show low levels of radiation. The tunnels are home to numerous feral zombies and one Glowing One. L’Enfant Station (South) leads to L’Enfant Plaza. This metro exit leads to a vestibule overlooking the highway, where several mutants ambush the hero. The Capitol Post newspaper office, L’Enfant Cafe, and Madame Julie’s shop are located here.
Another entrance to L’Enfant Plaza is through the Hazmat Radioactive Waste Burial Ground (a chain of caves where barrels of radioactive waste are stored below the level of the subway lines).
