Vault 106 | Fallout 3

Posted on August 6, 2026 by admin

Fallout 3 (Walkthrough) with DLC’s -> Vault 106

One of the Vault-Tec Vaults, located northwest of Vault 101 and north of Jury Street Metro Station. It is the only Vault in the Capital Wasteland that requires a Science skill of at least 100 to enter, as the outer door (and some other doors) are locked. From the moment the outer door was closed, the inhabitants of this Vault were exposed to hallucinogenic and psychotropic drugs injected through the ventilation system.

The Overseer was aware of this, but ordered the Vault’s security to lie to the inhabitants when they complained of an unpleasant odor. Eventually, all the inhabitants went insane. Upon entering the Vault, the player character has a chance to encounter some of the survivors. All of them are aggressive and attack the player character, including a unique NPC, the “Survivor,” who can be encountered on the third, lowest level.

This fight will be fought blind (this also applies to party members). If the enemy isn’t quickly defeated, the drugged protagonist will experience hallucinations in which Butch DeLorean and other members of the Tunnel Snakes gang will attack. In this case, they will all need to be “shot.”

Pension “Keylin”

Situated on a hillside just below the entrance to Vault 106, the building was destroyed by fire and is currently used by Raiders as an observation post. There are no more than a dozen Raiders in the building itself or in the immediate vicinity; the only danger is a sniper positioned on the top floor (as well as a couple of other Raiders in the building and on the bridge, who may be armed with a grenade launcher or flamethrower).

Raiders in this location, as in other locations, respawn periodically. There are no beds in the building, so to rest, you must return to nearby locations, such as the Big City.
