Vault City (Megamod) | Fallout 2

Talk to Old Joe at Cassidy’s Bar. He’ll give you leather armor if you figure out he’s really Ian.

If you healed Bess the Brahmin in Modoc, you can sell her to Ed for $300.

There are 3 ways to obtain citizenship:

1. Gru’s exam. With Perception 9, Intelligence 10, Luck 8, and Science 81%, it’s impossible to pass the exam, meaning you need either Luck 9+ or Science – higher. With Perception 9 and Intelligence 9, around 100% Science was required in the original.

2. After the reactor is repaired, Advisor McClure grants citizenship without even talking to Lynette.

3. You can complete First Citizen Lynette’s quest and, as she puts it, “fix the Gekko problem”—that is, blow up the reactor (simply shut off the cooling system valve). Citizenship will be granted personally. Gekko will be depleted. The Vault, by the way, will be depleted, too.

Caravan driver Ben (in the first building in the Suburb) hires guards to Redding. The caravan leaves on the 1st.

In MegaMod 2.47 and later, a one-time City Pass can only be obtained for free once. After that, it must be purchased for $50 each time.

In the new versions of MM, security checks not only the hero but also all companions for alcohol and drugs, so bringing booze and Jet into the Vault will only be possible after obtaining citizenship.

Free the slave, Brother Charlie . 500xp, -$100

Brother Charlie is in the slave pen near the entrance to Vault City. To get him out, you’ll need to bribe Steve in the first building. Give him $200 and he’ll distract the guards. Open the door and talk to Brother Charlie.
