Hunter didn’t return. Escaping VDNKh wasn’t easy, but I gave him my word. The next day, a caravan was leaving for Rizhskaya Station. The caravan driver was recruiting guards, and I signed up.
When they come for us, pick up the ammo—money—from the table. It’s the only currency in use in these parts. We also pick up the tablet, which always shows our mission, and a compass in case we get lost. Before heading to Rizhskaya Station, we need to stop by the armory and replenish our ammunition. Especially since we don’t have any yet.
In the armory, we’ll be given a machine gun, which, by the way, can fire bullets—money. They’re highly powerful, but they’re money, so we’ll use other ammunition if possible. We’ll also be given a universal flashlight charger. We’ll use it when the flashlight goes out.
We’ll also get a gas mask; without it, going to the surface, and anywhere else, is impossible. There will be plenty of foul-smelling places. Finally, we’ll get a couple of first aid kits that will save our lives in emergency situations.
