A long corridor curves to the left. Running down it isn’t worth it. It’s better to wait until all the torches are activated, then, scurrying from alcove to alcove, trying to avoid the streams of flame and shooting the burning snorks, reach the stairs.
After killing the controller, we proceed to the next room. It’s important not to overload our inventory here. We turn the valve, run through the door, and without delay, descend the spiral staircase, then turn left down the corridor to the stairs—and then up, away from the flooding.
While visiting the cache, which is located in the same place as before—in a room accessed by a ventilation duct—you’ll encounter four bandits. Frankly, it’s nothing special. But what’s next is serious. Four fiery poltergeists are blocking the exit from the shaft with the spiral staircase.
Shooting them from below is problematic—the poltergeists readily respond with flames, and the first aid kits will eventually run out. It’s better to run up to a small, secluded room where you’ll be safe. From here, you can hurl a couple of grenades down to kill one poltergeist and fire through the doorway at the second, bouncing off the return fire.
